Activating your key
Go to Settings â–¸ License. In the License key field, type or paste your key in the format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, then click Activate. When it succeeds you’ll see License activated, and your tier changes to Unlimited.
If you ever need to re-check things, use Refresh status to ask the license server for the latest.
What each status means
Your license status tells you exactly where you stand:
- Active — your license is valid and working.
- Active (offline) — Brolla couldn’t reach the license server, so it’s running on a grace period. Everything keeps working offline for a while; it’ll re-check automatically once you’re back online.
- Expired — your license period has ended. Renew it to return to Active.
- Revoked — this key has been turned off. Contact support if you think that’s a mistake.
- Not activated — no key is active yet; you’re on the free tier.
Fixing common errors
If activation doesn’t go through, the message usually tells you why:
- Key not found — double-check for typos, and confirm you copied the whole key.
- Key revoked — this key is no longer valid; reach out to support.
- Key expired — the license has ended; renewing will restore it.
- All machine slots for this key are in use — deactivate another machine first to free a slot.
- Couldn’t reach the license server — check your internet connection and try again in a moment.
Most activation hiccups are a simple typo or a temporary connection issue, so a careful re-type or a second attempt usually does the trick.
