How to search and filter your library

The Search tab is where you find assets in your library. The heading reads Search with the subhead Find assets in your library.

Searching by word

Type into the box marked Search by filename or tag…. Brolla looks at both filenames and tags, so a single word can match either. When you type more than one word, the match mode decides how they combine:

  • Any = match any keyword.
  • All = match every keyword.

Use Any to cast a wide net and All to narrow down when you have too many results.

Filtering your results

Use the type filter to show only what you need: All, Video, Audio, Image, or Source. Two handy toggles help too:

  • Favorites shows only favorited assets.
  • Untagged shows only assets that have no tags yet, which is perfect for tidying up.

You can also use Filter by date added with a From and To date to focus on a specific shoot or period.

Sorting and views

Sort your results by Newest, Oldest, Name A–Z, Name Z–A, Longest, Shortest, Largest, Smallest, Created (newest), or Created (oldest). Switch between List view and Gallery view depending on whether you want detail or thumbnails. Use the and keys to move to the previous or next result.
