A tour of the Brolla interface
The sidebar
Everything in Brolla starts from the sidebar down the left. Each item takes you to one main area of the app. Here’s what each one is for.
Search
Search is your home base — browse and find clips in your library by name, tags, notes or filename. It’s where you’ll spend most of your time once your library fills up.
Trim & Export
Trim & Export lets you set a start and end point on a clip and export just that piece, ready to drop into your editor.
Import Assets
Import Assets is how you bring new video, audio and images into your library so Brolla can keep them organised.
Tags
Tags is where you manage the labels you use to organise clips, so a search like “sunset” or “interview” turns up exactly the right shots.
Library
Library lets you create, open and switch between libraries, and reveal your media in Finder.
Settings
Settings holds your preferences, license, and support — appearance, performance, language and more.
Theme and sidebar shortcuts
Two keyboard shortcuts make Brolla more comfortable. Press ⌘⇧D to switch between the Dark and Light themes anytime. Press ⌘B to collapse or expand the sidebar — handy when you want more room to browse your clips.
